Dmitri Glickman’s music has been described as “fresh”, “haunting” and “protean”. An American-born composer who delights in culture that transcends locality and nationality, his music draws on and mixes influences from many places. He was a featured composer on ComposersCircle.com in August 2015. He attended Bennington College where he was a Palmer Fund for Music scholar and two-time recipient of the Woolley Fund Grant. There he studied primarily with Allen Shawn and Nick Brooke. He attended California Summer Music studying with David Tcimpidis where he attended master classes led by Aaron Jay Kernis, John Corigliano, Louis Karchin and Judith Shatin. Dmitri interned with Argento New Music Project and Music at the Anthology (MATA), and worked for Brooklyn luminaries such as Missy Mazzoli and Chris McIntyre. In addition to writing and performing concert music, Dmitri teaches privately in the San Francisco Bay Area.
